The 33rd International Conference “Kangaroo Without Borders” was held in Istanbul.

2025. In October, the 33rd international conference of the association “Kangaroo Without Borders” (AKSF) took place in the historic and picturesque city of Istanbul. The event was attended by representatives from over 110 countries across all continents, bringing together teachers, organizers, and experts who are passionate about the development of mathematics education and the popularization of creative tasks among students.

The main goal of the conference was the development and selection of tasks for the “Kangaroo 2026” competition. Delegates discussed unusual and interesting tasks, selected the most suitable options for various age groups, and planned for the further adaptation of materials.

During the conference, meetings of the AKSF General Assembly also took place, where the association’s operational results were evaluated and issues regarding the admission of new countries were discussed.

The developed tasks are now to be translated into national languages, adapted to students’ curricula and cultural specificities, and the organizational aspects for the competition’s execution are to be prepared.

The conference was a significant platform for exchanging experiences and seeking new ideas, which will help make the competition even more engaging. Participation in the “Kangaroo” competition develops logical thinking, a creative approach to problem-solving, and self-confidence. The competition’s motto remains unchanged – “Mathematics for all!”

School registration will begin in January, but the competition will take place on March 19, 2026. Preparation can start now by familiarizing oneself with previous years’ tasks — all materials are available in the website’s Materials section.

See you at the competition on March 19, 2026!
