Welcome to the participants of the international mathematics competition “Kangaroo 2026”

Mathematics is a universal language in which the world structures thoughts, discoveries, and relationships. It develops precision, logic, and the ability to see more than meets the eye.
March 19th once again became a special day—a day when curiosity meets challenge and thinking turns into an exciting adventure. The “Kangaroo 2026” competition has concluded, and we sincerely congratulate all participants!
You are the ones who are not afraid to think, seek solutions, and test your abilities. It is your courage and perseverance that make this competition a true celebration of mathematics throughout Latvia. Congratulations to every participant! Your work, concentration, and interest in mathematics are values that will stay with you long after one competition. A special greeting to those students who made it into the top 20 mathematicians in Latvia in their age group – this is an outstanding achievement that demonstrates both talent and persistent effort.
The “Kangaroo” competition is a mass event, which is why the awards ceremony also takes place on a large scale. All participants, without exception, receive badges as well as electronic certificates indicating their score. Certificates are available in the system; they are printed by the school organizer and presented to students at school. This year, all prizes, badges, and diplomas will be sent to schools by mail between May 11 and May 31 . Schools will receive gifts for each participant, as well as diplomas and prizes for students who have made it into Latvia’s TOP 20 mathematicians in each grade level from 2nd to 12th grade.
Attention! Riga schools will receive gift packages in their mailboxes at the Riga Education, Culture and Sports Department (RD IKSD), Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street 5, Riga. Please contact your school organizer to inquire about receiving prizes. We are proud of 13,970 students from 236 schools – together you all proved that mathematics is not just numbers and formulas, but also passion, the joy of thinking, and a path of discovery.
